Enforcement for LAPD

The Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles
and Global Cooperation Society International were jointly presented the
14th workshop for law enforcement personnel, the first LAPD workshop of
the year 2012. The session was scheduled from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, on
January 5th, 2012 on the 3rd Floor of the Korean Cultural Center.
48 Los Angeles Police Officers were invited to participate in the
workshop to learn about Korean history, culture and language. The
purpose of the workshop is to help police officers understand Korean
heritage and to overcome cultural barriers.
The 8-hour session includes lectures by professors from leading
universities including KCCLA & Korea Center tour, traditional Korean
lunch.
Commander Bill Scott and Sergeant Steven
Arellano, Operations-West Bureau and the director Jaewon Kim, the
Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles, presented at the beginning of the
workshop to welcome the attendees.
