As a part of the annual Film Fest DC, members of the Korean Cultural Center attended showings on April 18th and 19th of the 2011 film “War of the Arrows”, which is directed by Kim Han-min. Prior to the beginning of the film, a representative from the Korean Cultural Center quizzed audience members about their knowledge of Korean culture, with each winner receiving a prize. The Korean Cultural Center also brought along a display of a traditional Korean archery set, which gained a lot of attention after the film. Attendees were interested in learning about the tools of the archers that they saw in the film and learned about the history of arrow making in Korea. Film Fest DC ended this Sunday, April 22nd.
