Celebrate traditional and modern Korean culture with a day full of beautiful bajis and mouthfuls of bulgogi at the 22nd Annual Korean Day Cultural Festival in Union Square from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, August 9, 2014.
This free cultural festival changes from year to year, but typically includes a colorful Royal March with the Korean Dynasty’s costume parade, K-Pop music and dance, traditional folk music and dance performances, tae kwon do demos, as well as modern, interpretive dances plus rice cake kneading contests.
There are usually food booths from local Korean restaurants selling traditional food like gochujang, kalbi, and bibimbop, so that you can snack on scallion pancakes while watching all those performances.
