A Petit Classical Concert in Summer featuring vocalist Kwang-kyu Lee
The Korean Cultural Center cordially invites staff of embassies, cultural centers, and U.S. government and international organizations in Washington, D.C.to join a special 30-minute Petit Classical Concert and networking lunch reception featuring opera aria and Korean contemporary vocal music,gagok, with acclaimed bass-baritone Kwang-kyu Lee.
Liven up your lunch break with great classical opera & Korean songs in an intimate performance setting, then meet global colleagues — including the newly arrived director of the Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C., Ms. Myeongsun Park — over traditional Korean food and drinks. The Petit Classical Concert Series hosted by the Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C. at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea presents exceptional young musicians from Korea and the United States performing classical Western and Korean music for an international audience in an intimate setting. Welcoming staff of local embassies, cultural centers, international organizations, and government offices, the program aims to conduct a uniquely Washingtonian form of cultural diplomacy and networking. Participants are invited to meet their diplomatic neighbors and colleagues from around the world, while building new relationships through a shared appreciation of great music.
